World Parkinson's Day

This year we are focusing our efforts on raising awareness of World Parkinson’s Day, taking place on Wednesday 11 April 2018.

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition, which means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time.

The number of people diagnosed with Parkinson's in the UK is about 145,000 - that's around one adult in every 350.

There are lots of different treatments, therapies and support available to help manage the condition as research is constantly developing.

Ultimately we want to take a stand today to raise awareness that when you have Parkinson's there are lots of things you can do to feel in control of daily life.

If you or someone you know has Parkinson's and you wish to seek some support, contact Call us on 0808 800 0303.
