Fun was had on Armed Forces Day

Ascot Care proudly support military charities and others alike throughout the year. Saturday 29th June was Armed Forces Day which which we indeed celebrated. We invited friends and family along to join in the activities at our homes.

St Anne’s of Whitley Bay had the Cadet’s visit our residents to tell their stories and what they are doing in their training, along with entertaining our residents and staff they enjoyed the cakes and games.

The Lawns in Monkseaton saw entertainer and singer Mick Young raise the atmosphere to a party mood.

Springfield Lodge in West Rainton had cakes and party games and were joined by Claire who performed her puppet show and sang to the residents. The puppets were in uniform which related to the armed forces.

Residents of Castleview care home held a coffee and cake morning with a £1 contribution per person to be donated to the Help for Heroes campaign. Residents in the Sunderland area enjoyed all the activities that were going on in Sunderland and Roker to raise money and bring awareness of what our servicemen do.
