Ascot Care Managers to walk 10km to raise funds for Cancer Research UK
Seven members of the Ascot Care management team will be taking part in the Shine Night Walk 2025 on Saturday 4 October.
The 10km walk through Newcastle city centre is organised by Cancer Research UK to raise vital funds for life-saving research. The illuminated evening walk celebrates those affected by cancer and helps fund ongoing efforts to improve diagnosis, treatment and survival.
The Ascot Care team will be walking in support of loved ones, colleagues, home care clients, and residents in our care homes, whose lives have been touched by cancer.
“We’re proud to take part in such an important event,” said Gretel Dixon, Head of Marketing. “It’s a cause that means a great deal to many of us, and we’re committed to helping Cancer Research UK continue its incredible work.”
The walk forms part of Ascot Care’s wider social impact strategy, which includes supporting health-focused charities and getting involved in local initiatives that promote wellbeing at all ages across our communities.
