Taking on the Great North Run for the Bradley Lowery Foundation
We're incredibly proud to share that Georgia, the daughter of one of our directors, is taking on the AJ Bell Great North Run this September in support of the Bradley Lowery Foundation.
On Sunday 13 September 2026, Georgia will line up alongside tens of thousands of runners to tackle all 13.1 miles from Newcastle to South Shields. The race is a real challenge for anyone, and it inspires us to see one of the youngest members of the Ascot Care family take it on with such determination.
She's running for a cause that means a great deal to everyone here at Ascot Care. The Bradley Lowery Foundation (BLF), set up in memory of young Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery, supports children and families across the North East who are living with serious illness. From helping with treatment and equipment to offering emotional support and guidance when it's needed most, the Foundation is there for families through some of the hardest times imaginable.
As a family-run business rooted in the North East, BLF is a charity close to our hearts, and one we're proud to support each year through our annual charity golf day. For Georgia, a proud Sunderland fan herself, just like Bradley was, the cause feels especially personal.
"To see younger people like Georgia give her time and energy to a cause like this is genuinely inspiring," said Michelle Lovelace, our Head of Operations. "We couldn't be prouder to get behind her."
