Springfield Lodge rated Good by the Care Quality Commission

We're delighted to share that Springfield Lodge has been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), following an assessment carried out in March 2026. The home achieved Good ratings in every area the CQC looks at: whether care is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

What inspectors saw

During their visit, inspectors found a warm, settled home where staff knew residents well and were quick to respond when help was needed. People living at Springfield Lodge told inspectors:

"The care is ok and my carer is brilliant."

"I'm very comfortable and safe. I would go to the managers if I had a complaint but haven't needed to yet."

And a relative shared:

"I like the manager, we see a lot of her."

Inspectors also noted the positive impact of a newer leadership team at Springfield Lodge, with staff describing improved morale and a clearer sense of direction, and governance continuing to develop well.
